Courtesy of the helpful astralplane, I am now on the trail of a reputably tasty Calvados. Specifically Boulard, and I’ve sent off enquiries to the folks down at The Cellar and hope to hear back from them that they can get it *and* that it won’t break the bank. I’m highly curious to see what it tastes like.
Currently, I’m just kicking back and listening to some good music, sipping a warm snifter of the Saint-Vivant armagnac I picked up the other day, and being inordinately pleased with myself. I finally managed to download the entirety of the NSA Venona files, both gif and postscript. Next up is planning out a way to best organise them, as well as putting together a script to parse through all 9GB of postscript and convert it to something more useful like text. Then will be determining how best to make it web available. I’m still pondering blog format, but I’d love to be able to tie the gif images in to each entry as well as a link.
Ah well, I have time In the meantime, another cachet of loot arrived today – my 16 MfS Stasi undercover recognition pins. *Very* happy with these. I’m really looking forward to the arrival of a couple of books so I can get these catalogued and identified. It’d be nice to know how many there were, which ones I have, and which ones I need to add to my wishlist. I think I also need to possibly bend glassapples arm and see if she’ll assist me in photo-cataloguing the items I already have. I think perhaps if I share a few more splashes of armagnac I may not have too much trouble *grin*
