Today was day 1 of the Zombie Workout, and it went reasonably well. I completed day one workout one, and I’m still alive at the end of it, and I wasn’t too winded when I finished. Despite their admonition not to overdo it, I of course was compelled to kick it up a notch. Not a lot though, and it was only a couple notches. Seeing as I’m doing my running on a treadmill, I bumped the incline a bit. Completed all 20 minutes, and then did a kind of throwaway upper body workout with 3 sets of lat pulldowns and 2 sets of seated benchpress.
Ow. I need to find the right weight for the benchpress, or find something else to do until the bench frees up so I can do free weights instead of the machine. The last trainer I spoke to swore by free weights, and talked about how they help build core strength a lot better because of all the small adjustments your body has to make as you lift. Makes sense to me.
Anyhoo, day 1 is teh success. Day 2 is Wednesday.
